Gender Studies Database

As of the end of April Gender Studies Database will no longer be available from the NISC interface. It is now accessible via the EBSCO interface and going forward that will be the new interface for this database. Thank you to the King's Library for purchasing this database.

With this change comes a few advantages:
- the EBSCO interface is easy to navigate
- citations are easily exported to RefWorks, EndNote, ProCite, or Reference Manager
- a number of other databases are accessible under EBSCO and therefore combined database searching is possible. Some databases you might want to select to search with Gender Studies Database include:

LGBT Life with Full Text
SocINDEX,
Family & Society Studies Worldwide

To conduct a multi-database search, select an EBSCO database from the Database by Title list. For example SocINDEX could be selected. When it loads, click Choose Databases found at the top of the screen. The available databases will be listed and databases can be selected by clicking the box next to the database name.To get a description of a particular database point at the iconHoverSm2.gif found to the right of the database name.
