1. What do I need to borrow library materials or access online resources?

  • In order to borrow materials, either a recent Western ONECard or a Western alumni card is necessary. If you have either of these cards, simply present it (plus one other piece of photo ID) to staff at any Western Libraries service desk and staff will set-up a record immediately.
  • To order an alumni card, please visit www.alumni.uwo.ca and click  on "Alumni Card" under the "Enjoy the Rewards" tab.
  • On-campus access to most online resources and the Internet is available to Western Alumni by presenting photo ID at any Western Libraries service desk to obtain a temporary username/password. This temporary login can be used only on Sun Ray terminals at any Western Libraries’ location, and is valid until the library closes on the day of issue.
  • For more information on services for Alumni, please refer to the Alumni page.
