The Western Libraries and the C.B. “Bud” Johnston Library are continually working to improve access to the resources and services we offer. The purpose of this website is to help alumni learn more about what we provide and how one can go about getting access. Our plans to offer proprietary resources are limited only by the general unwillingness of the vendors to provide access and by the significant additional costs that are often required. To borrow books, you must have a past student ID card or obtain an alumni card. To get an alumni card, please visit:

Western Libraries

Books
Alumni have access to borrowing books for a 2 week period with the ability to renew books online using the alternate form (with your name and university ID).
Search the catalogue for books. View your circulation record. More information on borrowing.


Journals
Alumni have access to journals in paper and electronic format when visiting any of the libraries.
Search for the journal title in the library catalogue using the Journal title field designation.
Paper copies of journals can be located in the library catalogue and are filed by call number in most libraries and filed alphabetically in the C.B. "Bud" Johnston library (Business). Electronic links to journal specific holdings will appear inthe catalogue record.

Computers
Alumni have access to the SunRays upon which they can conduct internet searches. Please contact staff at any of the library circulation desks in order to obtain a Smart Card to facilitate use of the libary computers.

The C.B. "Bud" Johnston Library has prepared a number of helpful tools for individuals who are looking for assitance with career issues; for those interested in obtaining company information; for individuals who need government information; for those who want Canadian sources or for those who wish to have access to International newspapers just for reading.
