Archived Ejournals in Business/Economics Available Through Western Libraries

The purpose of this list is to direct you to older issues of journals that are now available electronically thanks to two purchases made recently by the Western Libraries. Not only are thousands of articles now more accessible, they are also searchable in ways that were not possible using the print versions of the journals and the old abstracts and indexes.

The first package is from ProQuest and is called "ABI/INFORM Archive I." Ultimately this module will consist of around 100 leading business journals. At this time not all articles are provided and the complete back files have not been loaded. The basic holdings are provided in the list below. The journals have been digitized cover-to-cover from microform masters and searchable ASCII text is also included. 

The second package is the new Business Module of JSTOR. It consists of 20 journals that are new to JSTOR, as well as 17 from the "Arts & Sciences I" collection, and 9 business/economics-related journals from the "Arts & Sciences II" collection, both of which have been purchased by Western Libraries which have been involved since the outset of the JSTOR project. For more details about our involvement with JSTOR, see here. JSTOR may be chosen from the Western Libraries "Databases by Title" list or from the Business Library's "Networked Databases" list. As well, the journals on JSTOR have been linked in our catalogue. When you search by journal title, you will see a link - "connect to internet resource (back issues only)" - if the title is available on JSTOR. As of 2009 JSTOR will be known as Ithaka.
