Safari Business Book
Western Libraries is pleased to announce that we have just licensed a collection of almost one hundred online computer books, the Safari Tech Book Collection. The book collection covers computer programming handbooks, Web development, and Microsoft Office applications as well as books for the home hobbyist on Linux or digital photography. Online access to these books has several advantages for the user: the manuals are accessible through any network computer, they are always up-to-date and current, and they can be consulted quickly when the need arises.
Western Libraries has been able to take advantage of group discount subscription rates for online journals and books over the past six years by cooperating with other Ontario and Canadian university libraries. This has enabled us to acquire new types of resources like the Safari Tech Book collection of e-books. We hope that we will be able to expand this collection through future collaboration with the other Ontario universities.
To start using this new collection of online books, follow these steps:
1. First, go to the Library Catalogue and do a Title search for "Safari" and limit it to Electronic Resources.

Printing:
To print this e-book, you must do so page by page. There is no way to print the book in its entirity due to copyright issues. At the top of every page in the e-book there is a "Print" text link. Click that and you will be taken to an HTML page where you can print.
Emailing:
Beside the Print link, there is an Email This Page link as well. You will be directed to another page where you can fill out a form with your email address and subject and send the email.
Note - you will receive a link to the page, not a text version or .pdf of the page. You will have to be affiliated with the university for this service to work.
