CanImage Satellite Imagery

The Map and Data Centre has access to the CanImage Landsat Data, provided by Natural Resources Canada.  CanImage is an image composed of three spectral bands originating from resampled Landsat 7 orthoimages. They are chosen by the user based on the National Topographic System (NTS) at the 1:50,000 scale.  Users can select the band combination of their choice.  Please see the CanImage site for more details about this product.

Satellite / Sensor: Landsat 7 TM
Projection: UTM or Geographic
Scene Dates: 2000 to 2005
Bands: User has a choice of 3 (1,2,3,4,5,7,8)
Ground pixel resolution: Pan-sharpened to 15m
Source format: GeoTIFF

Restrictions on Access / Use

This resource is available to University of Western students, faculty and staff for academic, research or personal reasons. Patrons will be required to sign a release form when requesting the data.  Data must be requested in person at the Map and Data Centre Reference desk.
