Opinion Research Polls
Definition: Statistical data produced by surveying selected individuals on their opinions concerning an issue or event, usually reported by the institution that conducted or commissioned the survey. Sampling methods can influence results.

The American Marketplace is a reference that provides in-depth marketing analysis, based upon the latest data collected mainly from the federal government - the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the National Center for Education Statistics, and the National Center for Health Statistics. - Canadian Opinion Research Archive
From Queens University, the Canadian Opinion Research Archive makes available ommercial and independent surveys to the academic, research and journalistic communities. Founded in 1992, CORA contains hundreds of surveys including thousands of discrete items collected by major commercial Canadian firms dating back to the 1970s.

Nielsen Wire, a Nielson Company blog, provides daily updates on the latest in consumer behavior and media, and marketing trends. Part of the Nielsen Company's website under Insights, whose mission is to provide clients with the most complete understanding of consumers and markets worldwide.

Includes datafiles from Gallup Canada and other polling companies, public-domain files such as the Canadian National Election Surveys and selected files from the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR).

The Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan "fact tank" that provides information on the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world. It does so by conducting public opinion polling and social science research; by analyzing news coverage; and by holding forums and briefings. It does not take positions on policy issues. Includes results from polls including: demography, policy, economics, elections, energy, news media and more.

- Public Opinion Research in the Government of Canada
Public Opinion Research Annual Reports provide an overview of the research projects conducted each year by departments and agencies. They also highlight trends in public opinion research across the Government of Canada.
