Top CEOs 2010 Financial Post Magazine

In the November 2010 issue of the Financial Post Magazine , corporate CEOs were ranked according to how well their company performed in 2009 and provided a listing of the compensation they received.

Under the header Farther. Faster. Higher  Teresa Tedesco states,"Since the financial meltdown, executives have been under greater pressure than ever to do the right thing-and to be seen doing it." Even though the Sarbanes - Oxley act came into being in 2002, those regulations of corporate behaviour could not prevent the meltdown in 2008.

In the same issue Andy Holloway writes,"It doesn't take a lot of digging into the 2010 edition of our CEO Scorecard to reveal gold. Indeed , three of the five best-performing executives on this year's CEO Scorecard - as measured by three-year total shareholder return - are looking for gold, and nice of the top 25 are bullion diggers." He shows some optimism by saying, "....our annual CEO ranking shows signof new life...."

The highest paid CEOS include Aaron Regent at 21.1 million and Harrison/Mongeau at 17.3 million. (and they were not the CEOs of the best performing companies)

The Lowest paid CEOs were Keith McPhail 185,000 and V.PRem Watsa at 621,000 (and they were not even CEO's of the worst performing companies)

The top 49 CEO's manned companies that had + (positive) 3 year returns while the remaining 51 were heads of companies that showed negative returns
