Resources for Business 2257 Project

Resources for Business 2257 Feasibility Project

This guide has been created as a resource for students beginning the Business 2257 Feasibility Project. Subjects include Canadian demographic data, financing, business planning, benchmarking, and small business startups. For this reason, the resources will also be of use to persons interested in starting your own business.

To access electronic resources from off-campus, please first log in to the Off-Campus Access box on the left-hand navigation of the library home page. For further assistance, review this Off Campus Access guide.

Many databases are available to you. See library staff for assistance with any part of your project research needs.

Periodical Indexes: Search for articles in magazines, journals and newspapers using periodical indexes. CBCA Business and ProQuest Canadian Newstand are good for Canadian information. ProQuest's ABI/Inform Global is an excellent database of mainly American, business magazines and journals. Trade magazines are covered in ProQuest's Trade & Industry. Full-text articles on smaller businesses are available in ProQuest's Dateline. The Business Library has over 40 other databases available to search.
