    The Index to Canadian Legal Literature is a bibliographic index to Canadian law journals and public legal education materials, books reviews, and cases cited in journal articles. The print set is kept in the law library and electronic versions are found in Quicklaw and in WestlaweCarswell.

  • LegalTrac provides indexing and selective full-text for major law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals, and international legal journals.

Databases

  • Collection of legal forms and precedents. Ten divisions: Commercial and General, Corporations, Conveyancing and Mortgages, Leases, Wills and Trusts, Family Law, Ontario Court Forms, Municipal Corporations, Computers and Information Technology.

    Only some divisions of O'Brien's Forms are available online from the Canada Law Book website. For those not available online, the law library has a collection of CDs kept on Reserve.

  • LexisNexis Canada launched its new version of the LexisNexis® QuicklawTM online legal research service in 2006. The database is now a combination of Quicklaw and Lexis.com. Second and Third-year students,as well as Faculty who still have a Lexis.com account will be able to continue using that service until all the Lexis features (Shepard's) have been moved over to the new platform.

    All Law students receive their own personal password for the LexisNexis Quicklaw service for use during the three years of law school. As part of first-year orientation, library staff arrange for lab sessions to take students through the steps of getting a LexisNexis Quicklaw password. Training is also provided as part of LRWA. If you do not have a password, please speak to a lab supervisor or Elizabeth Bruton (219-F).

  • e-Laws is a database of Ontario's statutes and regulations, both consolidated and source law.
  • This site provides access to a variety of resources and information pertaining to Court Services, Family Justice, Public Gardianship and more.
  • This service is provided through a collaborative effort of the Supreme Court of Canada and the LexUM laboratory in University of Montreal's Faculty of Law.

    This collection includes the decisions rendered by the Supreme Court of Canada since 1985. It also includes all decisions originating from Ontario back to 1876 and hundreds of the most cited decisions that were delivered before 1985. Decisions published in the Supreme Court Reports from 1970 to date are available in both English and French. Decisions published prior to 1970 are available in the language of publication only.
