This list is provided for those who are interested in the historical development of Canada's commercial sector. The original material, which contains considerably more data, is found in: "The Most Private, The Most Rewarding," B.C. Business, Vol.12, No.7, July, 1984, p. 37. The article indicates that this was the first annual ranking of private firms in B.C. The table (which is on p.37) also includes data from 1982 and the % change in each category. The same issue also contains a ranking of the top 50 public companies in British Columbia (p.10). Bound volumes of B.C. Business are held in the collections of the Western Libraries.
