Financial Post Investment Reports

The Business Library has extensive holdings based on products and materials produced by the Financial Post DATAGROUP. The major collection consists of what was formerly known as the "Financial Post Corporation Card Service", which became the "Financial Post Investment Reports Service" in 1993. The well-known Financial Post "yellow cards" have been maintained in the Business Library and the collection now consists of roughly 25,000 cards dating in some cases to the 1940s. The service has typically provided data on the top 500-600 Canadian companies. In 2001 the service moved to online delivery. Over 750 of these Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) reports, from the years 2001 to 2003, have been archived to CD. The complete list of companies and the holdings in each case is available in the table below. For use in library, inquire at the circulation desk.

Dividends: FP Dividends provides up to three years of a company’s dividend history.

New Issues: Screen offerings back to 1993 by type, market, currency, status, officer, and underwriter.

Directory of Directors: Screen the FP Directory by name, location, education, and association.

Person Search: Search FP Directory of Directors and Corporate Surveys.

Global Search: Search multiple FP Advisor sources simultaneously.
