BIOSIS Previews is a comprehensive index of life sciences and biomedical research worldwide including: journals, meetings, patents, and books. Biological Abstracts and Biological Abstracts/RRM (reports, reviews & meetings) comprise BIOSIS Previews.
EI Compendex

EI Compendex is one of the most comprehensive engineering literature databases. It contains over ten million references and abstracts taken from over 5,600 scholarly journals, trade magazines, conference proceedings and technical reports. Online coverage is from 1969 to the present. Approximately 650,000 new records are added to the database annually from over 190 disciplines and major specialties within engineering. It is updated weekly.
INSPEC

INSPEC is the primary database for finding articles in Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineering. The database indexes over 8000 journals and is one of the few sources for many computer science conferences.

This database lets you access over 75 years of patent descriptions and images. Drawings may be viewed using Adobe Acrobat software.
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

Includes full-text of U.S. patents back to 1976. Full images of all U.S. Patents issued since 1790 are now included. Documents from 1790 to 1975 can only be searched by patent number or Patent Classificaiton number. Images can be viewed using a plug in to enable viewing of TIFF files can be downloaded from the site.

The Canadian Standards Association, servers business, industry, government, and consumers in Canada and the global market The Canadian Standards Association developes standards to help people apply them through information products and seminars, CSA International which provides testing and certification services for electrical, mechanical, gas and a variety of other products. We have the complete current print version in the Taylor Reference collection at call number TA368.N383. We also have a one year trial for CSA Standards online, starting in March 2011. Please let us know your experience using the online version of CSA Standards. This will help us evaluate the resource.
