Business International covers business conditions throughout the world that are likely to have an impact on corporate operations. It conducts research on the business environment, human resources, finance, organizations and related subjects. The Business International Index provides access to their world information system. The index is arranged alphabetically by country with global issues and topics found in the Worldwide section at the front of the listings. The Business International Corporation was a major publisher of information about international management and the Business Library has many of their books. Their publications can be found on the UWO WEBPAC by using ‘Business International’ as an author. The company was absorbed by the Economist Intelligence Unit and the Business Library has many of their publications as well.

The CBI is an excellent guide to Canadian periodicals and reports in business, industry and economics, administrative studies, and related fields. It covers articles in over 200 Canadian periodicals as well as the Financial Times, Financial Post and Globe and Mail. Material can be accessed by subject, corporate name, and/or personal name.

This is a cumulative index to all of the Conference Board Publications. The Conference Board provides extensive examinations of management and economic, social and political trends and issues. All publications are indexed by subject with the major studies listed first.

Over 130 publications from management, union and professional sources, as well as from those published by the schools of industrial relations in the U.S. and Canada were scanned regularly for pertinent material and included in ERA. It was superseded by WORK RELATED ABSTRACTS (see below).

The Wall Street Journal Index provides comprehensive indexing of all articles in the 3-star Eastern edition. Indexed materials include news items, columns, feature articles, editorials, letters to the editor, obituaries, and earnings reports. Most stock tables are not selected for indexing. Articles are indexed by subject and split into 2 parts, the corporate news, and general news.
A complete archive of the WSJ is available electronically through ProQuest Historical Newspapers. This product provides access to all the papers ranging from 1889 to 1986. WSJ is also available on Factiva from 1979 to present. Finally, the newspaper is available in the Business Library on CDRom from 1990 to present.
