  • GeoBase is a bibliographic database of the global literature in earth science, ecology, geography and marine science. Broad subject coverage and the range of sources abstracted make this an ideal tool for searching multidisciplinary topics such as environmental or geographical studies and other areas that cross traditional subject boundaries.
  • Is the online version of the American Geological Institute's geoscience database containing North American records since 1785, and other areas of the world since 1933. The database is the equivalent of four major reference publications: Bibliography of North Amercian Geology, Bibliography and Index of Geology Exclusive of North America, Geophysical Abstracts, and the Bibliography and Index of Geology. Additional items come from special bibliographies produced on request for state surveys or societies, and annual subject and author indexes.
  • Provides access to three multidisciplinary databases: Arts & Humanities Citation Index; Social Sciences Citation Index; and Sciences Citation Index. of bibliographic information indexed so that you can search for specific articles by subject, author, journal, and/or author address. Each Web of Science database includes the article's cited reference list (often called its bibliography).

Maps

  • The Map and Data Centre Catalogue provides access to over 222,000 paper maps including topographic, thematic, geology and soil maps and hydrographic charts.  Maps in the collection are issued by Canadian and foreign governments, organizations and publishers. The collection includes 222,000 sheet maps, providing global coverage at a variety of scales. This includes all
    current paper versions of Canadian federal topographic maps at 1:50,000 and 1:250,000 and all hydrographic charts for Canadian waters. In addition, the catalogue provides access to over 2,000 atlases in both paper and digital formats, covering a wide range of themes and areas.
