Welcome!

The D.B. Weldon LibraryHello!

You have found the Program Guides page for Library and Information Science. To get the most out of this set of links to print and online resources, try out the tabs (e.g. Articles, Bibliographies, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, etc.) to see the kinds of resources that Western Libraries and the FIMS Graduate Resource Centre provide for you. Why not try these resources out now so that you will be familiar with them for later?

Remember that to use most of the electronic resources, you need to log on to Off-Campus Access which is always available at the left of these screens and also, to use the resources provided by the GRC, you need to be on the GRC Local Area Network either in the FIMS building or by logging onto the LAN with your user name and password.

If you need assistance with the resources provided by Western Libraries, contact Research Help staff in The D. B. Weldon Library. For asssistance with GRC databases such as Library Literature and LISA, go to the assistance desk in the GRC.

If you need more in-depth assistance, please contact Fran Gray, Subject Librarian for Library and Information Science, and make an appointment for a consultation.
