Open Access Week @ Western

October 19-23, 2009 is Open Access Week.  Western Libraries will organize two events to enhance the Western community's understanding of open access:

What Can Open Access Do for Academic Authors and Society?

Two panelists will discuss the benefits of open access from the perspectives of scholar/researcher and international development.  The third panelist will speak on what academic authors need to do in order to reap those benefits. There will be a facilitated discussion between the panelists and the audience after the three presentations.  This event is open to all in the Western community.

Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2009
Time: 2:00 pm-3:30 pm
Location: Room 51, Faculty of Law Building
Panelists:
Professor Joaquin Madrenas, Robarts Research Institute
