Importing Citations from Web sites using RefGrab-It

How do you cite web pages with RefWorks?

To cite web pages with RefWorks, you first need an application called RefGrab-It. RefGrab-It captures bibliographic information from web pages and allows you to import that information into your RefWorks account.

How do you install RefGrab-It?

RefGrab-It is a separate application from RefWorks. In order to install RefGrab-It:

1.  in your RefWorks account go to Tools > RefGrab-It.

2.  Follow the browser-specific instructions on the installation page.

How do you capture online bibliographic information using RefGrab-It?

To capture bibliographic information from web pages:

1.  Click the RefGrab-It button on your links toolbar

2.   Click Select All in Section

3.   Click Show Details and a box will pop up with additional information

3.   Click box beside the title, then click Import to RefWorks

 

4.  The Import References will then appear with the number of references that have been imported into  RefWorks


5.  Once imported you can view your reference by clicking on the view icon at the right of your record
