Meet Taylor's Research & Instructional Services Librarians

Picture of Fred Antwi-Nsiah
Fred Antwi-Nsiah is the librarian for Clinical Medicine. He has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Alberta and a Master of Information Studies degree from the University of Toronto.

During his spare time he enjoys cycling and video editing.

Picture of Selinda Berg

Selinda Berg is the librarian for Nursing. Selinda has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Saskatchewan. She received her MLIS from the University of Alberta.

Selinda spends much of her day running. If she is not running to her next meeting, she is running after work on the Huron Trails.

Kim Cornell is the librarian for Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Earth Sciences. Kim has a BSc in Chemistry and a MLS from Western.

When not in Taylor Library, Kim is busy researching the skeletons in the family closet and planning her next trip to the Highlands of Scotland.

John Costella is the librarian for the Basic Medical Sciences, Biology and Dentistry. He holds an M.Sc. in Biology from Windsor as well as DDS and MLIS degrees from UWO.

He's the tallest librarian at Taylor so not hard to miss when he's in the building. But email is probably the most reliable way to get in touch.

Linda Dunn is the librarian for library instruction in years 1 & 2 Biology and is the collection librarian for Reference. Linda has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Biology from the University of Nebraska. She received her MLIS from the University of Western Ontario.

Outside of work Linda skis, curls, loves cooking and enjoys travelling. If you guess the city where her picture was snapped, you win a "free" answer to your reference question!

Elizabeth Elliott works with Research and Instructional Services as a library assistant. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

When not in the library she can be found in her garden or at the cottage enjoying her kayak.

Vivian Feng is the librarian for Civil & Environmental, Electrical & Computer, and Mechanical & Materials Engineering. She has a PhD in Education from the Ohio State University and an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario.

When not at work, she is home chasing after two little "wild things," wishing she were the Max in Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are.

David Fiander is the librarian for Computer Science and Software Engineering. He has a BMath in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and an MLIS from UWO.

When David's not sitting in front of his computer on campus, he's usually sitting in front of his computer at home.

Kristin Hoffmann is the librarian for Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics & Astronomy, and Statistical & Actuarial Sciences. She has a BASc in Engineering Physics (Oceanography) from UBC and an MLIS from Western.

You are likely to spot her either carrying a bike helmet into the library or sitting at her computer with a mug of tea.

Amanda Morehouse is the librarian for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Audiology, Speech Pathology, Health Sciences and Kinesiology. Amanda received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Masters in Library and Information Science degrees from Western.

Away from the library Amanda is discovering her inner gardener. Fending off kamikaze hummingbirds and cunning chipmunks makes it a special challenge.

Marg Sloan is the Clinical Outreach Librarian. Marg has an honors Sociology degree from the University of Western Ontario.Her MLIS was also received from the University of Western Ontario.

When Marg is not spending time with her daughters and husband you can find her limbering up at a yoga class.

Meagan Stanley is a library assistant in research and instructional services. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and an MLIS both from the University of Western Ontario.

When she's not in the library, Meagan can be found either watching the latest in reality tv, or 'going all in' in a game of poker.

Library Management

Joan Kammerer is in charge of the day-to-day in-house operations of the library and the activities involved in providing front line customer service. She earned her BA in Sociology from Waterloo Lutheran University.

If you ever need information on the Canadian curling scene, Joan is your go-to girl.

Eeva Munoz is the Assistant University Librarian (Allyn and Betty Taylor Library). She spends a lot of her time in meetings related Library operations and policies. However, her favourite times are when she can enjoy the enthusiasm and accomplishments of her staff in their quest to provide excellent library services to the very diverse user groups of the Taylor Library. This often happens through direct interactions with staff and users. Eeva has an M.Sc and a Doctorate in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology in Finland and an MLIS from Western.

Outside work she enjoys travelling and movies.

As the Head of Research and Instructional Services, Harriet Rykse tries her best to keep the highly talented and motivated staff in the Research and Instructional Services Unit challenged by encouraging them to explore new and innovative ways to support our very diversified user group. She has a BSc in Biochemistry and an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario.

Away from work she enjoys great discussions with her Book Club, highly entertaining chats with her two teenage daughters, and training for triathlons.
