Tom Williamson

University of Western Ontario Mustang Basketball Team 1962-63

Six foot guard Tom Williamson began his basketball career at Western in the 1961-62 season where he played in all twenty-three league and non-league games, scoring 246 points. The following year, he led the Mustangs in overall scoring with 438 points in twenty-one league and non-league games and became the highest scoring guard ever for Western. In his senior year as captain of the 1963-64 squad, he broke his own single game Western record with forty-three points against the University of Toronto. Williamson won the Dr. Claude Brown Memorial Trophy for the greatest contribution to athletics in 1963-64 and was inducted into the W Club Hall of Fame in 1991
