Men’s Curling Team 1990-91

Curling had its start at Western in the 1950s but it wasn’t until the 1964-65 season that it became an official club sport.  After several seasons at the club level, the sport was finally awarded varsity status in 1975. Western curling teams won league titles in 1972-73, 1973-74, 1986-87, and 1987-88. Most recently, the Western curling team has done relatively well in both Ontario University Athletic Association and Canadian Interuniversity Sport competitions. The 2010 season marked the third straight year that the men’s team made it to the OUAA championship and the second straight year they won.
