Dick Billes was the soon of one of the founders of Canadian Tire, John William Billes. An account of his life is found in an obituary by F.F. Langan which appears in the Globe & Mail. See: "Once Seen as the Heir Apparent, He Was Ousted from Canadian Tire", Tuesday, Sept.9, 2008, p.S8. The article also contains a photograph of Dick and Martha Billes that was taken in 1987.
