Law Library Services for Guests / Visitors

The Law Library is open to the public during normal operating hours. You are welcome to visit and use our collection on-site. Computer access is limited but text-based materials and photocopying are available.

If you would like to apply for special borrowing privileges, please see the Guest Borrowers guide for more information.

Reference Services

Reference Services are offered Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 4:30pm or by e-mail. If you prefer, you can make an appointment with a Reference Librarian by emailing lawref@uwo.ca or by calling the Law Library at 519-661-3171.

Law Databases

A selection of law databases is available through Western Libraries.

Book Return Bins

We have two return bins at the Law Library: at the service desk, and just outside the library entrance doors.

LAWSTK books may also be returned at any other Western library.

Lost and Found

Lost something? Found someone's something? The Law Library has a lost and found box at the service desk. Don't forget to check with Campus Police as well.

Photocopying

The Law Library has one colour photocopier/printer/scanner, which is located on the main floor of the library. A PaperCut account is required to copy, scan, or print from any of the Library's networked machines. PaperCut credits may be purchased in one, five, ten, or twenty dollar amounts at the service desk or online through your PaperCut account. Please visit our Print, Copy, Scan page for more information.

Networked Printers

We have two networked printers and one colour print/copy/scan machine available on the main floor. All operate with a PaperCut account.
