GIS Day Call for Proposals - Lightning Talks and Poster Competition

GIS Day is a global event highlighting the research and real-world applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. On November 18, 2015 from 1-4pm in the Atrium of the D.B. Weldon Library, Western Libraries will join the GIS community all over the world to celebrate GIS Day.

We invite members of the Western University community to submit proposals for a lightning talk or poster presentation for our third annual GIS Day. The poster competition is open to all graduate and undergraduate students and should showcase the use of GIS in research. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place posters. Lightning talks are to be 7 minutes in length and should highlight a research project that incorporates the use of GIS.

Proposals are to be submitted online no later than October 21st 2015 at and will be reviewed and selected by October 30th, 2015.
