Western Libraries has recently set up a one-month free trial of digitized versions of the entire runs of both Vogue (1892-present) and Women's Wear Daily (1910-present).
The ProQuest search software allows you to access the full-text and full-image versions of every issue including advertisements, covers and fold-outs. Photos are fully indexed and a "Person Pictured (PIC) field allows you to narrow searches down to photos of specific models or fashion designers. Both of the database trials are accessible through the alphabetical list of databases and are available until August 31st.
If you are interested and have a chance to poke around in them, please let me know what you think. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
