GIS Day Call for Proposals

Western Libraries will be hosting our fourth annual GIS Day event on November 16th, 2016 from 1-4pm in the Atrium of The D.B. Weldon Library. GIS Day is a global event which highlights the research and real-world applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. For more information, visit

Students, staff, and faculty from Western University and the affiliated university colleges, Fanshawe College, as well as industry contacts are invited to submit proposals for a 7-minute lightning talk or poster presentation, showcasing the use of GIS. All participants will receive a gift card as a token of appreciation.

Proposals can be submitted online until October 26th, 2016 at and will be reviewed and selected by November 1st, 2016.
