Workshops: An Introduction to R and Advanced R

R is a popular open source statistical package for data analytics and graphics that is widely used in both academia and industry. According to a recent survey, it is the most used statistical programming language and the 13th overall for all programming languages. It is available for free download from for use on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. There's even an Android version!

Over the course of three hours, each workshop provides either an introduction to R, or discussion of more detailed topics in R. Each workshop will be led by PhD Candidates in the Department of Statistical & Actuarial Sciences.

All workshops will be held in the Library Instruction Room (ground floor, The D.B. Weldon Library).

As needed based on registration numbers, additional Introductory or Advanced classes may be added on Thursday and/or Friday. Watch this news feed for additional courses.
