New Library Services Platform – Service Interruptions

Several library services will be temporarily unavailable this fall, while we transition to a new Library Services Platform.
Purchasing – Oct. 10-Dec. 10
All purchasing of library resources will be on hold from Oct. 10-Dec. 10. Purchase recommendations submitted during this time will be processed after Dec. 10. Although we will prioritize the ordering of course materials, we anticipate items requested for purchase after Oct. 10 will not be available at the start of the winter term on Jan. 6, 2020. We will strive to have them available before the end of January.
My Library Account – Dec. 6-10
Access to My Library Account and all associated services will be unavailable Dec. 6-10. This means:
- Fines cannot be paid (online or in person)
- Online renewals will be unavailable
- In-person renewals will only be possible with the book in hand
- Self-check kiosks will be unavailable
Links to the Library Catalogue – Dec. 10 onward
Links from any webpages - including OWL or other course management systems, personal pages, or department/course pages - that point to Western Libraries catalogue or specific items in the catalogue won't work. You will need to update these links manually to point to our new library platform.
