A Collaborative Effort of the Teaching Support Centre and the Society of Graduate Students

This series of events focuses on the unique issues and needs of women graduate students with attention paid to the diversity of their concerns and identities. Through panels, workshops and discussions, participants will explore the issues and methods relating to mentoring women graduate students, culminating in a full day conference which will focus on best practices.

Refreshments at the workshops/panel and lunch at the conference will be served.

This workshop will be facilitated by Co-Chairs of the SOGS Equity Committee: Taniya Nagpal (Kinesiology) and Melanie Stone (Women's Studies and Feminist Research). The workshop will also feature a panel of graduate student speakers: Veromi Arsiradam (Philosophy), Sally Norris (Audiology and Hearing Science), Robyn Schwartz (History), Jennifer Shaw (Women's Studies and Feminist Research), Nassisse Solomon (History and Migration and Ethnic Relations).
