Research Interests
My research interests focus on advancing knowledge synthesis search methodology, with particular emphasis on librarian contributions to searching and information retrieval. I enjoy supporting students, faculty, and researchers engaged in knowledge synthesis projects by promoting transparent and reproducible search practices. My previous research experience includes peer review of search strategies, approaches to comprehensive grey literature searching, and the development and validation of search filters.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching is learner-centered and focused on creating supportive, inclusive learning environments. I aim to meet students where they are and encourage active engagement with the research process. In information literacy instruction and research consultations, I emphasize searching as an iterative process involving inquiry, evaluation, and reflection, with the goal of building student confidence and independence.
