We’re here to help

Struggling with information overload? Need help finding the perfect article for your paper? Unsure how to cite something? Not sure about all the academic jargon and terminology? We can help. Visit a library Info Desk for assistance or contact us through chat, text, or email for one-on-one help.

Take advantage of our collection and online resources

Use the library catalogue to search for books, e-books, and other materials by title, author, or subject. With the catalogue, you can be confident you’re accessing scholarly resources and as a Western student, you can get them for free through the library. Plus, our filters can help save you time by narrowing your search.

Use library databases to save yourself frustration hunting for the perfect article on Google. It can be great for finding general information, but not the kind of quality, credible resources professors expect. Databases can help you search for scholarly articles. You can also find appropriate databases based on subject through our Research Guides.

For tips on how to find materials using our catalogue, check out our research guide.

Other useful resources

Citation Guides: Find citation resources for APA, Chicago/Turabian, and MLA style.

Group Study Rooms: Book a study room for your group at Taylor or Weldon for up to two hours.

Learning and Food Zones: Learning zones allow you to find the best study area to fit your needs. Weldon is the only library that provides a designated space for eating while studying. All other libraries (Business, Law, Music, and Taylor) do not permit food.
