Locations in the Map and Data Centre

Map Cabinets

Sheet map or topographic map series stored in a cabinet. C# is the cabinet number, D# is the drawer number (ex. C24:D01).

Atlas Cabinets

C# indicates which cabinet stores the atlas (ex. 1 - C5).

WS indicates an atlas displayed on a wooden stand on a cabinet top (ex. 1 - WS).

Open Shelves

Atlas stored on open shelves (ex. 1 - OS).

Open Shelves Monographs

Books that are not considered atlases stored on open shelves (ex. 1 - OSM).

Oversize

Atlas stored in an oversize drawer (ex. 1 - O1).

Aerial Photo File Cabinets

Aerial photos stored in vertical file cabinets.

Vertical Filing Cabinets

Stored in a vertical filing cabinet.
