Author-Date / In-Text Citations

The Chicago Manual of Style is often best known for the use of footnotes or endnotes, but the use of the author-date system or in-text citations is often used by those in the physical, natural, and social sciences.

The author-date / in-text citation style may also be known as Turabian.

An example of Author-Date / In-Text Citations would be within a sentence in your paper / report - i.e. (Jones 2013, 23) - (Author surname Date published, Page number).
