Donated in 1999, the Canadian Tire Heritage Collection consists of textual records, architectural drawings, photographs, sound recordings and moving images documenting Canadian Tire's history from the 1920s to the 1990s. Founded in 1922 by J.W. and A.J. Billes, Canadian Tire Corporation has grown to be one of North America's most remarkable retailing enterprises. The Collection is an invaluable resource for the study of Canadian business history.
